PROJECTS

We are exploring the function and role of novel cellular niches in the brain and the molecular and cellular characteristics of astrocytes in vitro and in vivo.

Calcium ions are essential for synaptictic transmission. We use diverse experimental models such as zebrafish and the nematode C. elegans to understand the role of proteins that interact with calcium and biological membranes
